Staff member and child test positive at Sydney child care

An upgraded health alert has been issued for the the Great Beginnings Child Care Centre at Oran Park.

A staff member and a child have tested positive after the official reporting period yesterday.

Both are linked to previously reported cases.

Their cases will be counted in today’s figures.

NSW’s Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant says all staff and children at that centre from October 2 through to October 13 should get tested and isolate for a full 14 days since they last attended.

NSW recorded one new locally acquired case yesterday, linked to the Lakemba GP cluster.
